The Icehole's played a solid game, both on offence and defensively. But on this night the Iron Heads were just to quick and had a much better touch around the net.

Wasn't there, but was told it was a close game, Icehole's had 9 skaters and pulled out the win thanks to go defensive play and 3 goals didn't hurt either.

Lost 10 to 3 to Keyon Drywall

Lost Opportunity....

 What should have been a fairly easy game sure turned out to be anything but that. A sumo wrestling sized goalie stuffed in the opposing net seamed to be all the Yellow Jackets. As all but one of the Icehole's shots were stopped last night. Very poor officiating surly didn't help the cause either. With Mark playing out on a forward line tonight, Ron was left to defend the goal and he sure held his own stopping all but two Yellow Jacket shots.

Midas Ajax too much for the Icehole's

Midas Ajax played this game like so many before. First to the puck, skate fast, and keep shooting. It seems to be a strategy that works well for them as they steamrolled over the Icehole's this week 7 to 1.

Outstanding Goal-tending, not enough

The Icehole's came out of the block ready to play and the first five minutes of the game against Keyon was going well, but then something snapped and the Icehole's chased the puck and Keyon all around the ice all game long. In the end the Icehole's only lost this game by 3 goals, but that is because Mark absolutely stood on his head and stopped almost everything thrown at him. Down at the other net Keyon had an "A" division goalie and we were not able to put a puck past him. We had chances but had no luck all night. In the end Keyon Drywall took this one 3 to 0.

Two more games in the books... 2 more losses

The Icehole's last two games were both played shorthanded and as a result they just could not keep the pace of the younger faster squads. Mark did all he could in net to help but in what seemed like a 50 or 60 shot barrage, the occasional puck finds the back of the net. Hopefully next week will have more players on the bench.

The new season is underway, and the Icehole's are off to a 1 and 1 start. There is a very different look to the team this year, with many new faces. Please use this website as your best tool to get information. Since we don't get accurate info from the league anymore, individual stats will no longer be kept.

Finally an End to the horror !

It was a fitting end to a terrible season. Al played net and Mark played everywhere else and of course had to score the Icehole's only goal of the night on a wicked shot from the corner. Al played like Ken Dryden and used his feet like they were the only thing he was going to let the puck touch. That being said he played a great game stopping almost every thing he could see, we'll forget about the second goal. Anyway another season down, let's see what next year brings.

Great game played by the Icehole's, We had a few chances, and gave up only a few chances. The eight guy's that played the game played good enough to win, and almost did, if only the game was five minutes shorter.

Oh what a Try...

The Eight players that did show up for this, our first playoff game of the year gave a great effort in the defeat. We skated with The Hooligans for the first half the game, but we could not keep pace in the third period and the outscored us by 4 goals. Mark played a great game, stopping many great shots, he was using everything to stop the puck including his face, and has the dent in his mask to prove it. Better luck next week, and lets hope that we get a few more players out for that one, although it's not looking to good right now.

With most players not able to make this game including the goalie, it was decided to forfeit the game and come back fresh next week for the start of the playoff's

Couldn't capitalize on our Opportunities

The Icehole's played another solid game, but just can't put the puck in the net. Two goal posts, and at least a half a dozen great scoring chances. But still only one goal to show for it. Mark S. scored the goal, and unfortunately it will be his last of the year as he wrecked his need shortly after that play.

Mark played the game of the year between the pipes as the very shorthanded Icehole's hung on for a 1 to nothing victory over a full Ranger Landscaping squad. With scoreboard not functioning for the entire game the Icehole's had no idea how much time was played or how much time was left. With only 5 forwards and 3 defense it was a gut checking game for everyone. So here is a shout out to Bob, Rob, Shawn, Kevin S., and Lance as the forwards. Brad, Scott and Al as our brick wall of defense. Great Job everyone !!!

We should have had a better outcome on this night, as we wasted a hat trick by Bert. We just didn't have the legs/lungs to pull this one out. Damn Superbowl, with only 9 skaters we lost to the 7 skater Keyon Drywalls 6 to 4.

Hey Icehole's, We have a table reserved at the Iroquois Sports Garden from 5:30pm on Sunday February 5th. We have some team gift certificates that we are going to use to buy some wings and beer. Our game is not until 8:45pm so we should get to watch most of the first half.

Iceholes ran out of steam after 2nd period

We played a pretty good game against a pretty good team. Too bad we were short benched again, as we did a good job of staying with a much faster team. By the end of the second period the Icehole's ran out of steam, and the result is yet another loss this time 6 to 2 to the Hooligans.

We Win !

It's been so long since we won a game, I have forgotten how to write something nice. But it was a great team win. Forwards did a great job finishing, and back checking. The "D" did a great job of keeping Keyon to the outside, and Mark played a fantastic game in Net stopping everything he could see and some things he couldn't.
