Gators Destroy Icehole's
Even though the Icehole's had a better than expected turnout last night, due to Bob's return, Remy's friend Brad and Bert showing his face past 9:30. It all meant nothing as the Gators started scoring early and often. While the Icehole's were on able to manage one goal on very few sots on net.
Final Score: Gators 9 - Icehole's 1

No finish proves costly
The Icehole's had every opportunity to win this game, but a lack of finish results in the Icehole's 10th loss of the season. Mark played well in net, the defense was pretty good, our positional play was good, but 4 to 5 missed scoring opportunities, especially the wide open net I missed, killed any opportunity for the Icehole's to win this game. But it was nice to get out to a two to nothing lead for a change.
Winning streak will have to wait until next game
Good effort by the Icehole's but not enough firepower. Strong game by Mark in net again.
Final Score: Ranger Landscape 3 - Icehole's 1

Icehole's play Ironman hockey
With only 6 skaters the Icehole's had to play Ironman hockey last night with each skater only getting 3 breaks all game. Considering the tiered legs and not being able to catch our breath the whole game the result wasn't that bad.

Mavericks defeat Icehole's again
For the second time this year, the Mavericks took it to the Icehole's last night. The Icehole's managed to get out to a quick 2 to 0 lead but the Mavericks came back with a vengeance and scored 7 unanswered goals.

Ouch !!!
Even though Mark stood on his head and stopped about 50 shots, the undermanned Icehole's had a good ole fashioned shit kicking. On the bright side the Icehole's did score 4 goals, unfortunately they gave up 9!

Enviroshield hammers the Icehole's
There were chances, but the Icehole's ran into a recurring problem...Goal scoring! Enviroshield brought out there snipers for the game last night as they had 4 goals that were great shots that Mark was unable to make a save. So with little scoring touch and great shooting the other way, Icehole's had no chance to win this game.
Final Score: Enviroshield 7 - Icehole's 2

Icehole's tie Gators
The Icehole's played their first game against the Gators last night and it was a good game. Mark stood on his hear a few times to keep the Icehole's in the game, and the offence had a number of opportunities to bury the Gators, but in the end both teams were only able to get a goal each.

New Team defeats the Icehole's
The Icehole's had their first encounter with the Mavericks on Sunday night and the result was not what we were looking for. For most of the game the Icehole's skated with the much younger team from Ajax, but in the end just couldn't put enough pucks in the net. Mark played a really strong game in net, but the Maverick's still managed to put five in and as a result the Icehole's record falls to 1 and 2.
Final Score: Maverick's 5 - Icehole's 2

Solid Victory by the Icehole's
The Icehole's played a solid game both on offence and in their own end thanks to a few awesome stops by mark in net and some solid play in front of our own net, EnviroShield was stymied all night long. One late goal by EnviroShield (Formerly known as Keyon Drywall) was the only blemish on a fantastic game.
Final Score: Icehole's 3 - EnviroShield 1

The New season begins
Its a new season with some new players and some new teams.
For the first time in 6 years the IceHole's did not open the season against
the Ironhead's.
The Holes also welcomed 2 new players to the fold, one an imposing figure
on D and Ryan's Uncle and the other a slick skating recent SloPitch
Champ. Gary and John. Welcome
The game was a re-match of last years Finals against the younger,
faster,stronger etc etc Midas team.
Mark stood on his head to keep it close , which was remarkable since he
couldn't turn his head to the right.
We staked them to a 4-1 lead going into the 3rd and unlike past Hole teams
the energy actually rose in the final period making it a close 4-3 final with an
extra player on in the final minute.
If this is any indication how the Holes will fare this year, it looks to be
a promising one.
In addition we look forward to the return of Lance and Bert and Mike's new
draft choice Jake.

Nice Try, ...... But Midas Ajax just too much for the Icehole's
We tried to keep up with them, but the Icehole's could not get one past the Midas goalkeeper. A goal post here and a crossbar there but no luck in getting one. On the other side they had no trouble in scoring goals. In the end they beat the us by a score of 5 to 0. Oh well better luck next year, at least the Icehole's were able to play the maximum number of games this year. Oh and 2nd place is a very nice finish based on a 4th place league finish.
Final Score: Midas Ajax 5 - Icehole's 0
Our Prize for 2nd place finish !!!

Icehole's earn a berth in Final's !!!
A well played game by all 16 players who made it out for last nights semi-final game against our nemesis The Iron Heads All three forward lines did a good job at keeping the undermanned Iron Heads on their toes all night. The Icehole's scored two quick ones in the first period, but the Iron Heads answered with two of there own in the second. But in the third, Al blasted a great shot from the point that deflected off what seems like everyone on the ice and found the back of the net. That proved to be enough and an empty net goal sealed the victory for the Icehole's. Next up Midas Ajax. Another game like this one and we will have ourselves another useless gym bag, but more importantly another championship banner to hang in the rafters.

Icehole's Win again finish Third in Round Robin
The Icehole's had a full squad out for last nights final round robin playoff game against Ranger Landscaping. It was a tight checking close game with chances at both ends of the ice. Mark had a stellar night in net making stop after unbelievable stop, while at the other end all three lines had their chances including a post here and there, and a crossbar. Fortunately the Icehole's scored a goal in the first and it stood up for the entire game as the Icehole's played a solid defensive game, in large part to all five "D" men who came up huge. With this victory the Icehole's ended up with a 3 to 2 record in the playoff's guaranteeing a spot in the Semi-finals on April 7th.

Tough night for the Icehole's
The goals came early and often last night as the snipers from Midas Ajax out skated and out passed, and out shot the Icehole's. The Icehole's were trailing them before the ice even has a chance to dry from the flooding. We tried to make a game of it by scoring 3 of our own, but Midas kept attacking and put up 5 more goals.
Final Score: Midas Ajax 8 - Icehole's 3

Icehole's win second playoff game!!
A great all-round game played by the Icehole's last night. Mark played one of his best games of the year taking a few sure goals away from the Iron heads the defense was solid and the forwards were able to capitalize on there opportunities and put the puck in the net. As a result the Icehole's skated away with a well deserved win. Only sour note on the game was the two late goals we allowed the Iron heads to score.
Final Score: Icehole's 5 - Ironheads 3

Not enough speed
It was Superbowl night and as a result the Icehole's were shorthanded again last night. The Icehole's had eight skaters and just could not keep up to the much quicker and probably younger Keyon Drywall team. We did our best to hang in there, Ron stood on his head at times and did a good job in net filling in for the suspended mark. Bob had another terrific game scoring 3 goals including a laserbeam from the top of the left circle.
Final Score: Keyon Drywall 7 - Icehole's 4

Well rounded Victory!
Surprising turn of events for last nights game, we thought we were going to be severely shorthanded as two players are suspended and with it being a 10:45pm game many guys usually don't show up after all. But to everyone's surprise 13 skaters plus a goalie showed up. Jordan was brought in to replace the suspended Mark in net and did an outstanding job for the Icehole's. With three forward lines and 4 "D" men the Icehole's had jump all night as they were able to rotate lines quickly. Ranger Landscaping were short benched with only 8 skates and the Icehole's took advantage of this all game long making them skate hard every shift. The Icehole's got out to a 2 nothing lead and never looked back thanks in large part to the Bob, Duncan, and Ryan line who racked up the majority of points in this one.
Final Score: Icehole's 5 - Ranger Landscaping 1

Not a pretty finish
In what can only be described as an experiment gone horribly wrong, the Icehole's lost for the second straight time to the lowly Yellow jackets Kurtis tried playing nets and at times looked good but unfortunately the Yellow jackets put 5 goals past him. We were only able to get 4 goals at the other end, but we did pick up quite a few penalty minutes over the course of this game. There was an exciting finish as well, Cory crumbled over a yellow jacket player in our end, no call was made, but the dude didn't like the hit and came a Cory with a crosscheck to the face then ran away like a little girl, well Cory wasn't going to let that go and proceed to chase him down finally catching him and giving him the beating he deserved. Meanwhile Mark grabbed another guy that was going after Cory and suplexed him UFC style. It was quite the end to a chippy game. As a result of all the crap at the end of the game Cory is suspended 6 games, and Mark will be suspended 3 games, and Brad who wasn't even there might be suspended 3 games because our game sheet wasn't completed properly.
Final Score: Yellow Jackets 5 vs Icehole's 4
