Close after one, not so close after two, and the Icehole's could not come back in the third. We played a good game, but a few costly miscue's were to much to overcome in the end. Better luck next week. A 4 to 1 loss to the Iron Heads.

Icehole's win big !!

The Icehole's came with their "A" game last night as all three lines got in on the scoring. Mark played a solid game in net and the 3 "D" men played a strong solid game. All round, it was a good victory and the $25 earned is a nice bonus. The Icehole's now have a playoff record of 1 and 1 with two tough tests coming in the next two games.

Slow Start for the Iceholes

The first round of the playoff round robin is underway and it was a first period that the Holes would like back. A few too many defensive breakdowns in the first left the Noir, Blanc et Rouge in a hole down 4-0. All lines tightened up defensively in the 2nd and 3rd but the hill was a bit to big to climb all the way back. Bobby P scored off a rebound in the 3rd to disappoint the Hogs fantasy of free beer and the Hogs " substitute" goalie made some key saves at the right time. Time for the Icehole's to rebound next week.

Not that it would have helped but an managerial inquiry has been sent to the league offices question the ruling in regards to substitute goalies.

The plan was simple, get the best playoff ice times possible. We did that with a convincing 7 to 0 loss. Bring on the playoff's.

The Icehole's played a solid game rolling through all lines with ease. The Defense came up strong as did Mark, who only allowed one to sneak past. This game ensured that the Icehole's finish no lower than fourth, and gives them a shot at third place. With a victory in the final game of the season against the Iron Heads, and a mighty Pigs loss, The Icehole's would finish in third.

Iron Heads Outlast the Icehole"s

The Icehole's had their chances, as they controlled the play most of the night. The difference in this game was that the Iron Heads took advantage of all of their chances and the Icehole's did not. The Icehole's were short handed again last night, hopefully they will get a full squad out shortly for a game. Fresh legs in the third are a valuable asset.

Icehole's now tied for third

Considering this was Superbowl weekend and a few of our players could barely stand on their skates, and with only 10 skaters. This win feels good. Mark played well when he was called upon, the forwards moved the puck nicely and the defense played well, they moved the puck up ice all night and kept the front of the net clear, as Mark had very few rebound shots to deal with. This win puts us in a tie for third place with the Mighty Pigs in the league standings.
